
An innovative, fast-growing European technology company is seeking a Sales Director, Europe, to build and lead a high-performing B2B sales organization across Sweden and selected international markets.
The Opportunity
The company operates in the renewable energy/cleantech space with proprietary technology and in-house product expertise. Having successfully repositioned toward larger, more complex B2B opportunities, the next step is to strengthen commercial leadership and build a scalable sales engine.
The Sales Director, Europe, will play a pivotal role in establishing structure, driving execution, and developing a strong performance culture.
The Role
You will be responsible for building and leading a structured, execution-driven B2B sales organization with international scope. The focus is approximately 95% B2B, including:
• Direct sales to large commercial and industrial customers
• Public procurement/tender processes
• Partner/channel sales (B2B2B)
• Inbound/inside sales coordination and first outbound activities
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be close to customers and key deals, but your primary mission is to build the system and coach the team — not to personally own and close all major accounts.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to improve performance and accountability
• Establish and enforce a clear commercial operating model (CRM discipline, pipeline management, KPIs, governance cadence)
• Drive structured solution selling and value-based proposals
• Build and scale a partner/channel ecosystem
• Align sales efforts across Sweden and selected international markets under one operating framework
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, supply chain, finance and marketing to ensure commercial commitments are deliverable
• Create a strong learning culture with structured follow-up and continuous improvement
Your Profile
You are an experienced commercial leader with strong execution capability and high personal drive.
Required background:
• ~15+ years in B2B sales
• Academic degree
• Proven leadership experience in building and developing sales teams
• Experience with complex or technical solution sales
• Strong ability to create structure, process, and follow-up
• Comfortable leading in international and cross-functional environments
Strongly valued:
• Experience from regulated industries or public tenders
• Experience building partner/channel sales models
• International experience
• Background from team sports or competitive team environments (valued mindset, not a requirement)
